I grew up in New York in one of those wonderfully nurturing family with two brothers.  School was a challenge for me during the elementary grades due to dyslexia, but, I was a determined student.  After highDr. Susan Crum school obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Evangel University  in Missouri. Returning to the East where my family was, I obtained Masters of Science in Experimental Psychology, Montclair State University  and then continued on at Rutgers University Institute of Cognitive Studies studying and researching learning, memory, cognition and brain behavior relationships.  My internships were in Clinical and Neuropsychology at Bergen Pines Hospital  in New Jersey and then in School Psychology at Anne Snead Deanne Rehabilitation Center in New York and Warwick High School in New York.  After obtaining my doctorate I pursued additional training in biofeedback, neurofeedback, quantitative EEG and psycho-pharmacology.  As you can see, I have a thirst for knowledge and a love of my profession.  The majority of my professional career has been in medical psychotherapy and neuropsychology in New York.

I relocated to Florida in 2001 after my husband’s death in order to be near my parents who had retired here, and my brother’s family.    My son is now a young adult working full-time as an Engineer under an Engineer who ironically had completed her  Engineering internship under my father’s tutelage at  different firm.  My second child is a daughter adopted from Vietnam with whom I have the joy of continuing to share each day  as she faces the opportunities and challenges of being a home-schooled middle school student.  God has also blessed me with an  “foster daughter”, who is in elementary school and divides her time between my home and the home of her biological parents.  I spend my free time with my family, friends and pets. I thoroughly enjoy reading, traveling and pursuing my enjoyment of art.

I have been blessed in Highlands County with the help of many kind professionals and friends who have helped me establish a practice here, as well as by the wonderful people who come to Central Florida Neuropsychology for assistance in facing their own challenges.    I am particularly blessed in my practice with wonderful, caring professional staff who make each day at the office a joy.
